Lemon & Mango (bonded pair) Domestic Short Hair Nashville, TN

Lemon and Mango are an extremely bonded pair of kitties. They are likely siblings who have been together their entire life. Each are about 3 1/5 years old. Lemon is a male, domestic short haired red tabby. Mango is a female, domestic short haired tortie/calico. Lemon is the leader of the pair while Mango cries when they are separated. These two have had a really bad few months. Their human died and they were surrendered to an animal shelter where they have been living in a cage for the past 5 months. The nice people at the shelter noticed that Mango had chronic upper respiratory symptoms and took her for treatment. After several rounds of antibiotics, she was still sick. They took her for a more complete physical and discovered that she had some extreme dental issues that were causing her symptoms. Mango underwent an extensive dental procedure where all but her canine teeth were pulled. She is much better now. She is still adjusting to living without her teeth and eats primarily wet food. This pair has experienced a lot of trauma and need a new home with loving, patient humans who will give them the time they need to develop a new relationship. Both of these cats are quite, gentle and loving. We are looking for a family who is willing to earn their trust, keep them together and provide for Mango’s wet food requirements. Both of these cats are still in their foster home but an appointment can be scheduled to meet them.
