My Story

*** If you have any questions or would like to meet any of our adoptable cats, email [email protected]. Please include a cell number and check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a timely response. Meet McLovin! He is a handsome boy that was found as a stray before being brought to our rescue where he could be safe. We are hoping to find a home that is the right fit for this sweet boy - he is stressed at the shelter and has been overgrooming himself causing wounds on his sides. McLovin spent some time in a foster home where he could relax and decompress a bit. He was not a fan of the dogs and tolerated the cats, but we think he would prefer to be an only pet. McLovin is an independent, calm and chill boy. He just seems grateful that he is indoors and has a soft bed to sleep on and a full belly. His time as a stray seemed to take its toll on him - he only has half a tail and may need to have a few teeth pulled due to a decrease in the enamel. He is clearly a prime example of a rescue kitty - he needs a little TLC. McLvin loves to sit in a window seat and watch the outside world. While independent, he does enjoy pets and attention. He is going to build a special bond with the adopters that make him feel safe and loved. Want to help care for him while he waits to find his forever home? You can be a "Sponsor!" Click on the "sponsor" button on this profile and your one-time donation will be used for vital everyday essentials such as his food, litter and medical care! Thank you for helping save lives! All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
