*Temperament: smart, sassy, playful, friendly, lap cat, busy, intelligent, independent, affectionate, friendly, can be feisty while playing
Scarlett's owner surrendered her to us due to severe allergies in the home. When she first arrived in foster care, she had painfully matted fur and was very scared. Now, after receiving loving care and affection, she has blossomed and is ready for a second chance at her forever home!
Scarlett will be your sassy, faithful BFF. She'll greet you at the door when you come home and expect that you follow her to her favorite area (the scratching area) where she can tear up cardboard while also receiving face scritches. She is a gal that likes to be in charge. She loves to sit on your lap and receive slow gentle pets, but she decides when you can pet her, when she will play, and when she just wants to gaze out the window.
Scarlett enjoys being pet and loves receiving attention. She loves affection and also is self-sufficient in keeping herself entertained. She'll meow to say hi, come up to ask for cuddles often, and has so much fun taking toys out to play with.
Scarlett relishes playtime. She loves to play with all manner of toys. She also has a cute quirk that when she is catching a wand toy she likes to stand on her hind legs and bat the toy while upright. She looks like a little kangaroo when she does it.
Like many cats, Scarlett can become overstimulated when playing or being pet too much. A low daily dose of Prozac really helps mellow her out. She'd do best as an only cat with an adopter who'll respect her boundaries. Submit a Q&A today to meet this loving, affectionate, spunky, and loyal companion!
