Meet August
Meet our gorgeous gal, August. She is a 3-year-old Labrador mix. She was really scared when she came in, not knowing what to expect. She growled, backed off, ducked on the floor, and didn't let anyone near her. After 5 days or so, we could put a leash on her and walk her. She slowly started to feel better and now she acts much better.
She still is skittish with new people, but we don't blame her. She had been in a home since she was born, and the shelter is an unknown, scary place for her right now. We see great potential for this sweet girl and are trying to give her much needed TLC. We would like to find a new home where she can feel at home again, a home that is calm and quiet where she can relax and spend this cold winter with a family who will love her furever!
