Meet Barbie
Barbie came to Red Barn in an unfortunate way. We didn't go out and rescue her...she came to us by way of being dumped on our kennel property. After no owner came forward (of course) and her stray hold was complete, we promised her she would find a great home.
Our vet estimated that Barbie is just about 2 years old and she weighs 23 lbs. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and groomed. She is utterly adorable! She is energetic, dog friendly but not cat friendly. Barbie needs a fenced yard to frolic and satisfy her play needs.
Unfortunately like so many dogs we get in rescue, she tested positive for heartworms so she will be undergoing treatment (at the rescue's expense) to make sure she can live a long and healthy life!
