Benson Mixed Breed Rochester , NY

Sweet Benson is 3 years old and 46lbs of unconditional love. He was found as a stray living on the streets before ending up in an over crowded shelter.

Benson is a love bug who loves to be near his people. He is always up for a good snuggle. He will show you the cutest little hops when you come home and will put his paw on your leg and lean in for hugs when he wants your affection. He is quick to roll over for belly rubs and loves going for walks. He’s gentle, affectionate, and so so loving. He absolutely adores people. Total lover boy! He is velvety soft and loves when you pet his chin and jowls. If you pet the good spot he will nudge you if you try and stop! He’s a super smart boy and knows ‘sir’ and ‘shake’!

Benson is still learning you will always come back for him and feels nervous when you’re not around. He’d do best in a home where his humans are home a lot. He is potty trained and is doing good with the crate but still learning it’s a safe place. He has a high prey drive and would do best in a home with no cats. Benson would prefer a home without other dogs but does get along with very socialized and submissive doggy friends who are bigger than him with a proper introduction. He’s an active boy and would love an active home! He’d love a fenced in yard to romp around in but it’s not a requirement. He’d do best in a home with older children.

His foster mama says he is the absolute sweetest dog ever and needs a family with tons of love to give!
