Meet Byron
Meet Byron. Lord Byron to be exact. Byron is believed to be a 3/4-year-old hound lab great dane mix, possibly staffy too. One thing for certain he is AMAZING. He is forever puppy joy. Neutral energy and is excellent with all he meets.
Byron is as easy as the easygoing dog comes. He enjoys playing in playgroups, car rides, pack walks, trails, hikes, and swimming and is always up for an adventure or simply snuggles and cuddles. Byron enjoys people too. He's a social butterfly.
Byron is a sweet social kid with plenty of feel-good energy to share. He's the dog that blends in. Coexist with all. Gets along and never complains. Just grateful and happy to be. He loves wholeheartedly and waits patiently to be accepted. He's a happy puppy thankful to be alive and enjoying every day to the fullest. A grateful street dog who knows he's safe.
Byron was adopted by a family in Ohio from a rescue in Puerto Rico. Sadly he was then too much dog and had no manners. The family didn't feel they had it in them to keep him. Our sister's rescue, his original rescue, asked us to help since flying back to the island was not an option.
So here he is 2 years later waiting for his people/family to adopt him.
Byron is extremely food praise motivated. Very easy to please and train. Excellent during basic obedience practicing his training
Byron enjoys the company of all. He is a happy sweet dog who fits anywhere he goes.
Suggested adoption fee minimum $250
Byron is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative, and current on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
Previous adopters of AHRs have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed.
Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.
