Hi there, everyone! I'm Calle, and I've got a story to tell. You see, I'm one of the lucky dogs who got rescued at the Mexico-TX border, along with my pup Jalisco. He's found his forever home, and now I'm eagerly waiting for my turn to find a loving family.
I've been at Big Dog Ranch for almost a year now, and I'm nearly 3 years old. It would be pawsitively amazing to celebrate my next birthday in a real home, surrounded by a family who loves me forever. Let me tell you something great about me - I'm really clean in my room! Potty training at my new home should be very easy. I'm a sweetheart, but it might take a little time to get to know me. When I first arrived, I was shy and timid, but I've been making progress, step by step. They say good things come to those who wait, and I promise you, I'm worth the wait.
I get along pretty well with dogs my size, and I enjoy going for walks. Actually, I'd appreciate even more leash walks if you're up for it. The staff at Big Dog Ranch says I'm well-mannered and sweet, and I also know a few basic commands including Sit, which is usually followed up with a yummy treat! Due to my shyness, I would probably do better in a home that does not include small children. They are a little too bouncy and unpredictable for me. However, an older child who can respect my boundaries would be OK.
Now, if you can't adopt right now, have you ever thought about fostering a dog? I'd be a PAWsome choice! Fostering helps dogs like me adjust to a home environment before finding our forever families. Plus, it frees up space at the rescue for other dogs in need, so it's a win-win.
Guess what? Big Dog Ranch even offers a FREE training class when you adopt me. It's like icing on the cake! So, if you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, consider giving me a chance. I can't wait to be part of a real family and fill your life with wagging tails and endless love. Let's make some pawsitive memories together!
