Meet Chicken Sammy! This beautiful pup came into TCHS as a stray, so nothing is known about his past. Sammy's on the lookout for a dog-savvy adopter that has all the time in the world for him. He was very fearful upon arrival and took a while to adjust to new people and being in a new place. This being said, his new home should be prepared to allow him adjustment periods and continue working on socialization. Once Sammy knows you, he will be your BFF and shadow. He's extremely eager to please and is excited to learn new tricks! He loves to be outside and spend time with his people. He's briefly met other dogs and seemed happy about their company. We're not sure how he feels about other animals. All introductions to new people, places and pets should always be slow and proper. Chicken Sammy weighs about 35 pounds. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care.
