Meet China: A Sweet Brindle and White Pitbull Mix Looking for a Loving Home!

China's journey began when she was found as a stray on December 29th, 2023. Since then, she's captured the hearts of everyone at the Stafford County Animal Shelter with her gentle nature and charming personality. Although we don't have much background information on her, we estimate her to be around 6 years old and just under 50lbs.

Despite her initial shyness, China is a sweetheart who craves affection and companionship. Once she warms up to you, she'll shower you with endless love and loyalty. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and she's always ready for an adventure or a cuddle session on the couch.

China is quite food motivated, which makes training and bonding with her a breeze. China has met several dogs and has decided that she would much rather be an only furry companion in a home. As she is incredibly smart and affectionate toward her people, the bond she will form with you will be twice as rewarding.

While we're grateful for your interest in adoption, please understand that our shelter does not have a resident veterinarian. Therefore, it's essential that you arrange for veterinary care for your adopted pet outside of our facility.

To proceed with the adoption process, please bring a photo ID displaying your current address. If your address isn't on your ID, a current utility bill with your name and address, along with your photo ID, will suffice. This verification process ensures the safety and well-being of our animals.

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and our adoption services conclude 30 minutes before closing time.

You're warmly invited to visit the shelter during our regular hours of operation:

Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sundays and Holidays: Closed
