Update: I haven't seen Draco for a while, and he was happy to join me in an interaction pen. He was such a good boy for me, and we had a lot of fun. He loves toys and enjoyed chasing them. Sometimes he'd bring them back, but usually he preferred just playing with them and making them squeak. I had him hop on the table and at times sit before throwing a toy for him, and that became part of our game. As soon as I traded a treat for his toy, he'd run to the table and wait for me to return and throw it again. When I tired, I let Draco keep his toy and play with it on the table while I sat down. He put his head on my shoulder, and I felt like he was saying thank you for a good day. I gave him some pets and told him he was a good dog. I hope Draco finds his forever best friend soon.

Draco was a little shy at first, but once he felt safe, he'd stand beside me and enjoy pets while I sat on the bench. The person that found him said Draco did well with small dogs but didn't like bigger ones. He was friendly with his canine neighbor at the fence today, and they enjoyed trotting along the fence together. He's a really nice dog who's trying to figure things out in his new environment.
