Meet Dudley

? Meet Dudley! And see the sequence of finding a dog’s ‘tickle spot’! ?
Dudley is available for adoption at the Bedford County Animal Shelter. He is about 3 years old and came in as a stray. He is a super mellow guy who is smart, easy to walk and handle, and well-behaved around other dogs. A staff member was giving him some affection as I walked by and she found a spot that got his back leg kicking! Cute! Dudley has been waiting at the Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter, Inc. for MONTHS and I'm trying to figure out why.
He does jump and bark as people and other dogs pass by his kennel, but he is only seeking attention and an opportunity to go outside. For those visiting the shelter this behavior might look unmanageable or seem overwhelming. However, these are the behaviors many dogs display to be "seen" and can also be a result of kennel stress.
Please don't pass dogs like Dudley by. His behavior outside his kennel is much different than his behavior while in the kennel.
He is very sweet, often making fast friends with new faces, dogs and people alike. At only three years old he has so much life to live. Can you give him the life he deserves? ?Asking for a doggy friend of mine ?
Dudley will need a home with a fenced yard, and without livestock or cats.
