I am Ernest. I am from Alabama. From his foster: Meet our special boy, Ernest! Also known as Ernie, Bernie, Bern Man, and hey you. He can't wait to come home with you and be your best buddy! Ernie is a social boy, loves cuddles, kisses, and romping around with his littermate brother. He tends to take his queues from other dogs- 'Oh yes, I am thirsty too', 'Oh yes, I also need to go potty' and 'Man, your toy looks WAY more fun than mine'. He's got a beautiful brindle coat and the cutest mouth! He's a big drinker and food motivated, always handy when training. He's been a rockstar at potty training, after getting on a schedule. Big drinks, big potties! Ernie is great in the kennel with his brother and overnight, getting better in the kennel by himself. If he's put in the kennel when you are home, he can sometimes fuss for a bit. He's pretty sure that fun is being had without him, 'FOMO'! He would much rather lay next to you and take a snooze. He loves to have a blanket to 'fluff/kneed' and cuddle with. Ernie's got a good temperament with other dogs, big and small, littermates, and Fosters, and hasn't found a human he doesn't like. We don't have any cats or small kids around to see if he's ok with them or not. Only issue is he can get a little grumpy when there's a new toy introduced and someone else wants to play with it or gets near him while he's playing with it. We are working to correct this bit of dominance (he is a puppy!). Ernie is pretty chill overall, other than when he thinks he's missing out on things, he would probably nap a lot more on his own if his puppy mates would let him. We are pretty sure you will love him as much as we do!
