My Story

Meet Freya, a stunning 1 to 2-year-old Siberian Husky with a story of resilience. Initially discovered roaming a neighborhood for two weeks, she was timid yet curious when rescued by Second Chance. With the help of a professional trapper and the community, Freya found safety. Currently living with four other dogs, Freya's curiosity shines despite her initial nervousness around people. During her first week, she sought solace in her crate, but with positive introductions to fellow pups, she now relishes belly rubs and head scratches. Her confidence grows weekly, showcasing her playful and affectionate nature. Freya is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Engaging in confidence-building training, she's learning leash walks and crate manners. While house training progresses, occasional accidents occur. A patient family with a doggy companion is ideal for Freya, providing the support she needs. This Siberian Husky is an active girl who enjoys playtime with her doggy friends. A chewer by nature, she delights in toys requiring a good gnaw. Freya adopts a submissive stance and thrives on positive reinforcement training, requiring a patient owner to help her overcome fears and build confidence. Freya's journey from a timid wanderer to a playful pup is unfolding, and she awaits a loving family willing to provide the time, patience, and positive reinforcement she needs for continued growth. Freya is spayed, current on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. She is microchipped and her adopters should consider purchasing a Fi collar for her to ensure she can be located if she gets spooked.
