My Story

Garland was brought in as a stray. We guess that he is about 1 year old. Garland needed a bit of medical assistance. Garland had a condition called entropion in his left eye. Entropion is when the eyelids roll into the eye, & the hairs rub against it. Unfortunately for Garland, this led to a rather significant eye ulcer (aka an open wound on the eye itself). Thankfully the ulcer was not severe enough to cause irreversible damage. We had our veterinary partners surgically repair his entropion, heal his ulcer, & get him ready for his new forever home! Garland is officially ready for adoption! He is a super sweet boy. Even with a painful eye, he has been so well behaved. He can be hyper coming out of his kennel, but we think this will resolve once he's not constantly kenneled. We have not dog tested him, as the focus has been on keeping him comfortable during healing. He has not shown any negative behaviors toward other dogs while here. Any household dogs are required to meet prior to adoption. Garland can be rather snuggly, so he'd love a home that enjoys this. We think he'd do well with children to love on in his future home, though older may be better due to him being more playful. Garland's been a rather go with the flow guy. All he asks for is a comfy bed & all the pets, please! Garland is neutered, microchipped, & up to date on vaccinations.
