Hi, my name is Gema. I’m a pretty 1-year-old Terrier mix weighing 47 lbs and I was found hiding in an empty lot alongside a busy highway in Elmendorf Texas. A very nice lady used to drop off food for me, morning and evening fearing I would try to cross the highway and one day she came with a trap. Two days later I decided to go in and now I’m glad I did because that nice lady is now my foster mom. Since then I have been vaccinated, spayed, chipped, bathed, and loved and I am having fun playing with all the other foster dogs while getting ready to find a forever home.
I am a sweet girl, shy at first, but once I know you I’m very friendly. I have lots of playful energy, I love to play fetch and run through the yard and I love attention. I am the pack leader when I play with my doggy friends, and prefer easygoing playmates. We have kitty cats that live here and I was curious at first, but just gave them a sniff and walked away. I am very affectionate and love to be petted and hugged. I follow my foster mom around the house and when she sits down to relax, I’m right there beside her or on her lap or sharing a kiss. I am housebroken, crate trained, I only bark to alert and I don't mind a car ride. I could use some practice walking with a leash but other than that I will make a fine forever dog. There is a rescue dog transport van leaving soon and it’s heading to the Northeastern coastal states. I have a space with my name on it so if that's where you live and you think I’m pretty, we can meet next week and the rest will be history!
