Hey there, pals! Georgie here, ready to share a bit about my wild journey. Picture this: I was just a wee pup, abandoned at the back of this big ol' warehouse in Lemont. It was rough, let me tell ya. Locked up in a metal crate, feeling scared and all alone in the cold. But hey, I wasn't about to let that stop me. I busted outta there, determined to find a better life.

Now, I won't sugarcoat it - it wasn't easy. I was a mess, covered in yucky stuff, my poor paws all torn up, and my tummy rumbling from not getting enough grub. But then, like a ray of sunshine, these wonderful folks found me and took me under their wing.

Since then, I've been on the up and up. My health has done a complete turnaround, and let me tell ya, I'm feeling like a whole new pup! But hey, my journey's not done yet. I'm on the lookout for that perfect someone to keep helping me grow.

I gotta admit, I've got a soft spot for the ladies. There's just something about 'em that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Men and kids? Well, let's just say I'm still working on feeling comfy around them.

Oh, and did I mention I'm a social butterfly when it comes to my furry pals? Yep, I'm all about making friends with other dogs. Playtime is the best time, am I right?

***Georgie has some specific training needs to consider. He isn't crate trained due to anxiety from past trauma, but he's comfortable sleeping in a room or a large crate with the door open. He's potty trained, which is a plus. In terms of activities, Georgie loves playing with his toys, sticking close to his humans, and catching up on sleep. For his forever home, Georgie would benefit from a patient owner willing to work on his behavioral needs. While it's understandable to sympathize with Georgie's past, it's important for him to learn positive interactions with humans. Despite his challenges, Georgie is a sweetheart who never displays aggression towards people or other dogs. He's mastered sitting, enjoys backyard adventures, and isn't shy about sharing hugs and kisses—he just needs time and patience to fully open up.***


She/He is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Unless the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will only consider applications that are within 1 hour or 40 miles of Lemont, IL. This is due to the required vetting at our partner veterinarians. If the dog or puppy is fully vetted we will allow adoptions out of state or outside of our 1 hour or 40 mile restriction. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within five days of approval.

ADOPTION FEE: $250 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, Heartworm, and general wellness which includes dewormer, heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention)
