Meet Grant Tux A161971
Grant Tux A161971
40 lb. neutered male, approx 2-3 years
This handsome fella is a great little dude! We like him a lot and we're in no rush for him to leave. We know he'd be happier in a different setup, though, and we'll be happy to dogsit for him if needed!
-good on leash, but will chase the squirrels
-great eater with a sensitive stomach and an eye on the table scraps (but his countersurfing is pretty much done now)
-safe and calm around little kiddos (even baby grabbing his snout), but not attached to or interested in kids. He might enjoy a bigger kid who can be his playmate
-leaves the kids' toys alone, and calmly desqueaks his own toys. He loves stuffies and bones, but doesn't like rubber toys
-nervous for baths and nail trims, but will put up with anything for treats (note, milkbones do give him indigestion, so we give him grain-free stuff)
-asks the resident dog to play sometimes, but is used to him saying no
-loves routine, esp when that schedule includes naptime
-Doesn't need to be crated as long as food and trash are secured. His crate anxiety has improved a LOT, but I'd suggest leaving him out for a full workday if possible. Major bonus, of course, if you're home more often than not
-runs and gallops in the yard like Seabiscuit. He's gorgeous
-not a lapdog but likes to be around and loves belly rubs
-very quiet unless he sees something out the window or he wants the food you're eating. Then he might talk at ya
-his personality is more on the serious, quiet side but he has moments of sass and excitement
-great guard dog but loves everyone up close
Grant is a fantastic guy if you want a chill, sweet, and mostly independent companion.
