Ila is a sweet energetic dog who loves all her people. Her name came from an Inuit word meaning companion or partner. She may look a little different but don't let her appearance fool you. She is as spunky and playful as any puppy you will meet. Ila loves to play with her 95 pound dog foster sister, wrestling, running and exploring the yard. She is quite mobile despite her impairment. Ila would do best in a home where she can get lots of attention, exercise and belly rubs. She would love a playful yet assertive doggie friend. Ila is still learning how to speak dog and a suitable dog friend who can continue teaching her manners would be beneficial. She loves all animals but they don't all love her due to her rambunctious play. Ila would likely do better with older children (10 or above.) She is crate trained and is doing great with house training. Ila will likely need front leg amputations when she gets older. Speak for the Unspoken will pay for this surgery if completed in the first year post adoption. Her foster family is excited to get her fitted with a set of wheels to improve her mobility even more. Oh the places she will go!
