It's Jersday everyday when you're with Jersey! And while fist pumping isn't required upon entry, she would be a great match for someone looking to up the ante with a companion so full of love and sweet energy. This girl's version of GTL is goofy and total lovergirl, and despite her age, she gets puppy level excitement about life and the people that she gets to share it with. Jersey is almost always able to make time and space for some much needed cuddles-and is a wrecking ball of adoration and affection, watch her go here!

Jersey was originally found as a stray by animal control back in 2021 and was adopted shortly after from PAWS. She returned to our care a few months back after no longer matching the energy of the other resident dog in the home as they entered their senior years, who had put their days of "Wrestlemania" behind them. Since being back with us, Jersey has been the solo pet in her foster homes, so her relationships with other animals would need to be explored more gradually through slow introductions. We also think that she would do and feel her best living in a quieter environment without noisy surroundings that can often be found in busier neighborhoods, and apartments.

Jersey's primary love language is physical touch, and she will use her head to nudge your hand for more pets. In spite of her size, Jersey truly believes that she was born to be the lap dog of your dreams, and if there isn't a lap readily available to her, she will back herself up into anyone within reach until there is-and has no shame doing so. She also loves to follow her people around, and sleep in bed with them when she has the opportunity for extra closeness.

Jersey absolutely loves to play and is starting to love tug, but is still a work in progress at learning how to actually hang on. For her solo playtime, she can be found, "bouncing around and rolling on her back with her ears flopping, looking like an adorably deranged bat, and will try to lick your ears," according to her foster parent. So far she knows "sit," "stay," and "paw," and is fully housebroken. She generally does well free-roaming at home when being left on her own after some preliminary dog-proofing, and also has experience being in a crate as well.

Jersey is an absolute sweetheart and will make an excellent companion to anyone in need of one. Adopting her means being prepared for so many snuggles and so much love at any time, all of the time!
