My Story

Joey has had a difficult life, and now he's ready to find his forever home. He and his brother were chained up in a yard, neglected, starved, and in need of medical attention. Joey is incredibly sweet and affectionate but still nervous about the outside world. He finds going on walks a bit scary so he'd love a home with a fenced yard. Joey takes a little more time to warm up to men than women but with patience and kindness, he'll be your best friend in no time. Joey is currently in a foster home with another female dog whom he gets along well with. Joey is a three-year-old shepherd/hound mix. He's house-trained and currently weighs 68lbs, but still needs to gain a little weight. If you'd like to give Joey the loving home he needs, please fill out an application at abandonedpetrescue.orgTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.
