Roxanne is a wonderful, easy-going girl! No one would step up to rescue her, so she was scheduled to be euthanized. Although we are overcrowded, we could not let this horrible fate befall this sweet Hound, so we brought her into our rescue…..and sure are glad we did.

Roxanne is shy at first and it takes her a bit of time to trust the new people who surround her, but in time, she will play with toys and, and play outside with her toys, as well as dog friends. She loves rolling in the grass and basking in the sun! Roxanne is just the sweetest girl ever and deserves a loving, attentive, and compassionate family, excited to include her in their activities and lives.

We are not sure of Roxanne’s age but estimate she’s between 6 and 8 years old. She weighs about 50lbs. and looks like a giant Beagle!!

An ideal family for Roxanne is one with Hound experience, who can appreciate the breed. A quieter home with another middle aged/older dog who likes to just hang out and sometimes play, too, would also be nice! A secure, fenced yard would be great for exploring, rolling in the grass, and just laying in the sun. Roxanne would really love a family who enjoys buying her plenty of toys..the more the better! And who enjoys long walks and occasional car rides with her! Roxanne longs to be with her people; she’s very well behaved wherever she goes.

Roxanne is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped.
